Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the RunRay application (“RunRay”, “the App”). By downloading, installing or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Description of the App
RunRay is a client application that uses the open-source Xray-core engine to connect to proxy servers configured by the user. RunRay supports VLESS, Shadowsocks, Trojan and VMess protocols. RunRay does not operate any VPN or proxy servers, and does not provide internet access by itself.
2. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use RunRay on devices you own or control, for non-commercial personal use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use RunRay only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including the laws of the country and network from which you connect. You agree not to use the App to:
- Engage in any illegal activity, including unauthorized access to computer systems.
- Distribute malware, spam or any other harmful content.
- Infringe the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of any third party.
- Harass, threaten or harm any person.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload or impair the App or any associated services.
You are solely responsible for your conduct while using RunRay and for any content you transmit through it.
4. Third-party servers
RunRay connects to proxy servers that you choose. We do not control, endorse or assume responsibility for any third-party servers, subscription providers or content accessed through them. Your relationship with any server operator is solely between you and that operator.
5. Open-source components
RunRay includes Xray-core and other open-source software, each provided under its respective license. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under those open-source licenses.
6. Updates
We may release updates, patches and new versions of RunRay from time to time. Such updates may add, change or remove functionality. You are encouraged to install updates promptly, especially those addressing security or stability.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
RunRay is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability or uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, secure, or that defects will be corrected.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall RunRay, its developers or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, use or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RunRay and its developers from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App, your violation of these Terms or your violation of any rights of a third party.
10. Termination
You may stop using RunRay at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the App, or your right to use it, at any time and without prior notice if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when the latest revision was published. Your continued use of the App after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
